Zibo, a city in Shandong province, is planning an IPR enforcement operation entitled "convoy" in line with the lately issued Scheme on Conducting Enforcement Campaign to Protect IPR.

The Scheme sets forth clearly that the authorities should severely combat counterfeiting and repeated infringing activities in sectors such as food, drugs, agricultural materials, building materials and home appliances.

Taking the opportunity of marking the World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, relevant departments should enhance IPR dissemination and education to create a sound environment.

The Scheme also requires IP departments in the province to attach great importance to the operation and coordinate with each other to ensure the effectiveness of the campaign. [Chinese version is available on sipo.gov.cn]
